In March 2024, ResInvest became a substantial shareholder in SGX-Listed Geo Energy Resources Limited (“Geo Energy”).
Geo Energy is one of the largest coal producers in Indonesia and has been operating its SDJ and TBR mining complex since 2015, utilising best in class mining contractors and selling to blue chip offtakers.
ResInvest’s strategic investment in Geo Energy was driven by its acquisition of the TRA mine in Sumatra. TRA has more than 300 million tonnes of reserves, with further resource upside, and will ramp up to 20-25 million tonnes per annum in line with Geo Energy’s infrastructure build out.
